Colorful – 1st Day Back to School Cake

Enjoy this Colorful – 1st Day Back to School Cake with a little girl holding her Schültute (school cone). What a great way to celebrate a new school year with a cute & delicious school themed cake with all the adorable decorations. Wishing all our students a safe, healthy & productive year.

This cake was for a little girl named Quinn. The Quinn fondant figure is wearing her favorite white dress with black flowers. In Germany, it is a tradition to give your child a Schültute commemorating the first day of school. It is a school cone filled with all kinds of gifts, treats, and surprises. Anything from candy, toys, books, or school supplies.

Unfortunately, Quinn had a little too much coffee before school which is why her eyes are a little too wide. Faces are really hard & I didn’t have a fondant face mold….next time maybe I’ll do closed eyes or use a face mold.

This school cake is a two layer chocolate and vanilla cake with vanilla buttercream & vanilla fondant. Everything is edible. I love the fondant crayon border, backpack, pencils, paper, rulers, books and chalkboard that decorates this cake.

Hope you like this Colorful 1st Day Back to School Cake!
